2018 Lifeguards Needed


Garden City will be hiring lifeguards for the 2018 season soon. Lifeguard classes will be offered at the Harrisonville Community Center at the times listed below. To register call the community center at (816) 380-8980. The City of Garden City will accept applications at any time at City Hall, 107 N 3rd St. during a regular work week.

Wednesday March 7th - 5pm to 9pm

Thursday March 8th - 5pm to 9pm

Friday March 9th - 4pm to 8pm

Saturday March 10th - 8am to 5pm Sunday

March 11th - 12pm to 6pm.

Hazardous Waste Information

~~Residents have year-round access to the safe disposal of unwanted products such as paint, lawn and garden chemicals, automotive fluids, batteries, florescent bulbs and housecleaners.
Business waste is not accepted.

Residents can access the permanent facilities in Lee’s Summit and Kansas City and also can attend any of the mobile events scheduled April through October.

Municipal Court Information

Citations can be paid thru website - link in lower left hand corner of page.  Also, City Hall is open and available for payments Monday thru Friday, 8-12 and 1-5 p.m.

Code Red Change

"Code Red” weather and emergency notifications are being changed in Cass County to “Everbridge”. To be up to date, please sign up for the new notifications by creating an account. 
Online account is available at the Cass County Emergency Services or telephoning Robin Tieman at 816-887-1953 in order to continue getting severe weather, flooding, and emergency notifications. This does not affect local the local Garden City NIXLE System.
